Rude Manager
I loved whataburger up until today, I would go at least 4x a week at around 7am, I happened to go when the manager was at the window herself one morning , she was extremely rude to me while my daughter in the car. I'm assuming she was upset already because when I drove up to the window she was talking to her co worker about a car in front of me giving her a hard time about cheese.
Well first of all she didn't say good morning to me she just told me my total I handed her my card I was ready for her. I asked for two ketchups and asked if my sweet n low and cream was in the bag. She seemed irritated but I was just asking nicely. I knew she was irritated so I was really nice about asking I felt I was tip toeing around her attitude, anyways I asked one more question to be on my way to work and daughter to school and she blew up on me telling me very rude and loud to open the bag and check.
The way she told me was horrible so I simply said to her don't talk to me this way and as I was telling her she CLOSED the window as I was speaking. I didn't move the drive thru because I waited for a sincere apology. Her own co workers would come to the window and tell me she treats a lot of customers this way and no one has done anything about it. Well anyways her apology to me was " I don't know why I'm sorry but I'm sorry" that was her apology.
I'm extremely upset for being treated this way and waiting on corporate General manager now to make a change at this restaurant. I myself used to work at a fast food restaurant for 5 years and I was a manager so I know people can be rude but not once do you treat someone like that. Not only is it about customer service but it goes beyond a personal thing.
Even out of a customer service environment people shouldn't treat people like this. Want to spread the word that people shouldn't treat others like this.

how can a team have bad communication when they're wearing headsets? unbelievable.. employee at the window was a goof off, asst tried to get it right, but she handed off to the mgr, who was as lost as the order taker, after going to the drive thru twice, calling in 3x, still did not get the saus bob/ whataburger is supposed to maintain a high level of training and service, i have always experienced this at all Whataburgers, for 40 years, except for the Kingsville location, but that i can understand, because, well, it's Kingsville / but for an employee to be laughing or chuckling while he is on speaker taking an order can only lead to mistakes, poor communication between the team also of course leads to mistakes / mistakes happen of course, but this team couldn't fix the mistake, and that is what was so disappointing

Sounds like she needs to get thicker skin if she wants to be a fastfood manager. It is not an easy job, I sure as heck couldn't put up with the customers, but she obviously signed on for it.
